Looking for a HD Receiver

Hi All,

I am looking for a good HD receiver, any suggestions please let me know. I have a SV4000(not a HD), and it rocks no complaints so far.

Thanks

Cool Re: Looking for a HD Receiver

From what I have seen and heard I would have to agree. Go with the SV8000HD. They have the best support and are the most user freindly.

I would suggest the VS 9000 when the new guide comes out it will be the most advanced HD on the market and VS has great support

Re: Looking for a HD Receiver

I have the captain 8000hd. It does bev hd only and it's cheap as far a dollar value. very easy to setup but not the greatest support. It has ??? capabilities but it's in infant stages right now. It's standard visual is also fantastic. Having said all that I would trade it in a heart beat for the viewsat 9000. You need the 8psk to get dn hd but all in all when you add the most important part...support...it rules.

The VS 9000HD will work with all sats and works great with dish but you need the module for dish HD a module is not needed for bev HD

what kind of module do I need? I had the charlie professional, come and install a charlie hd receiver, now all I need is FTA hd receiver, and I thought of taking a vs9000 hd(based on your suggestions :-)). What else do I need to get hd using vs9000?

Re: Looking for a HD Receiver

The module is an add on you will have to purchase it separately ebay is about the best place to purchase one depends on what sat you connect it to bevs HD sat is mostly all HD 129 has a bunch of SD channels
