MMA Fighter & wife found dead

C/p..........
Quote:
a mixed martial arts fighter and his wife were found shot to death in a laguna niguel condominium in what authorities said was an apparent murder-suicide.

The bodies of justin levens and his wife, sarah mclean-levens, were found wednesday afternoon, orange county sheriff's officials said. The 28-year-old levens competed in the ultimate fighting championship and other organizations.

Sheriff's spokesman jim amormino said the couple was found by the woman's mother, who called 911.

Lt. Mike jansen says further information would be released thursday.

Re: MMA Fighter & wife found dead

When MMA was just starting, there wasn't as much pressure on the fighters. Nowadays, with all the popularity it's receiving, the fighters get into alot of trouble if they lose 2 fights in a row. Not enough can be said about the biggest organization, UFC, and how they bully their talent into performance, especially Dana White. That's why he always bashes big name fighters that won't sign with him unless he dishes out more cash. How can he sit there with a straight face and say Fedor isn't talented? I trained in BJJ when I was alot younger, and Vitor Belfort was one of my training partners, and good friend. Dana kicked him out of the UFC for losing to Tito Ortiz, meanwhile he knew that, at the time, Vitor's sister was kidnapped and he had the strain of all that situation on his shoulders. I'll never agree with suicide or murder, but, in my opinion, the UFC ia partially to blame. RIP

I agree with you on Dana White. Maybe he feels like he still needs to push the sport , so he can make another bajillion dollars. UFC has a life of it's own now. As far as the UFC being partially to blame , unless your an insider and knew Justin Levins on a personal level , i think that's an unfair and harsh conclusion , considering two people are dead. Substance abuse is what it is. It doesn't care who you are , where you are , or where you came from. If it grabs you it can put you in a world of hurt fast. I've lost two good friends because of it. Once again , i don't like Dana White either. Maybe he needs to get in the Octagon
