Need Help Please!

I have searched for an answer and can't come up with anything.

Before I updated my computer to a sata, all my programs installed.

Now most programs install, but a couple will not, and comes up "Catastrophic failure" on a couple of them. It doesn't screw up my computer and every thing works as should be after.

I run Win XP Pro SP2 the same as my other comp.

These programs are normally installed from my secondary drive and/or dvd.

There must be a setting to change some place in there to have them install????????????

thanks

Re: Need Help Please!

Did you change the motherboard during the SATA upgrade?

Did you install fresh on the new Hard drive?

Is your XP a 64 bit version?

What program is not installing?

Re: Need Help Please!

Try right-click the setup file and run that in compatible mode. if it installs, then there might be an update to the program you need to get for Windows XP SP2 & or 3.
